This is an unknown (to most folks) section of the San Jacinto River that is scenic and mostly peaceful. I must limit the attendance of this paddle due to the fact that I must apply for non-resident parking passes for each car. Contact me with any questions about parking. Carpooling is a good idea. Trip Description: We will meet at 09:30, ready to launch by 10:00, at the boat ramp in River Grove Park. There are restroom facilities at the entrance to the park. The park loop is one way. We will paddle for about 7 miles, exploring The back waters of the San Jacinto River. There are some opportunities for "primitive" Bio breaks along the way. Directions: Take Hwy59/ IH69 N to Kingwood Dr. Go East into Kingwood Dr. for 5 miles to Woodland Hills Drive. Turn right (South) and proceed to the end of Woodland Hills to River Grove Park (2 miles). Park in any available spaces in the park. If you are pulling a trailer, you may use the Boat trailer spaces.
