This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver.

Join HASK for the Shrimp Boil at the house at 235 Galleon Freeport TX 77541 in the Treasure Island neighborhood on the bay side.  Bring a side dish and/or a few dollars to throw into the kitty for the shrimp.  (The full paddle trip following this feast is optional - please sign up separately.)

The rental house is just off the Blue Water Highway just before crossing the bridge from Freeport to Galveston. (Note - $2 cash toll to cross bridge from Galveston.)  

To respect our neighbors, please unload quietly and park about a block away at the Treasure Island Municipal Building on Fathom Driver.  (No parking on street or grass, please.) 

If you don't want to drive home, some folks will be camping on the beach.  Rental houses are available from VRBO or 979VacationRentals. We may have a group house reserved.   Brazoria County Parks has RV spots next door (by foot or water) with some cabin rentals.

Waivers - Please complete our easy to use online Smart waiver if you are a HASK member who has not signed a waiver within the last 12 months or a non- HASK participant. Read the waiver carefully.  You give up substantial rights when you sign it.  And provide the HASK Contagious Disease waiver. You will be notified if your are registered and we don't have one for you on file.

  • Add Smartwaiver with email address “noreply@smartwaiver.com” to your address book to ensure emails do not go to junk/spam.
  • Select a link below to complete the online waiver.

  • Respond to the “Confirm your E-Signature” email from ACA / HASK to confirm your email address.  Wavier is now complete and valid.
  • You will receive a confirmation email. Please download and print a copy of the waiver and bring it to the trip put-in.
