Description: This is a  Level 2 nine mile round trip on Garcitas Creek.  We will gather at 9:30 AM and paddle upstream. We will meet at 9:30 AM at 6 Mile Beach Boat Launch in Port Lavaca on Lavaca Bay to paddle at 10. We'll find a lunch stop and paddle back to the put-in.

Directions: Enter 6 Mile Beach Boat Launch into your navigation device. It is 30 minutes north of Seadrift, where we are staying, and 2 1/2 hours from downtown Houston.

Lat - lon of the put-in is     28° 41.633'N,  96° 39.732'W
My cellphone number is713-444-3315

Hazards: There are alligators in the area and all the usual suspects of SE Texas. Water and air are cool. Dress for immersion in layers, NO COTTON. Have spare dry clothing in a dry bag. Bring lunch, plenty of water, and sun protection. This paddle has a long stretch of shallow open bay, meaning likely steep shop in a wind.
