We will launch at 10:30 AM.

This is a Level 1 paddle unless the wind is high. We will paddle about 7-10 miles.
Easy put-in from a grassy bank. We are right behind the Hyatt Hotel so there are restrooms.  You are welcome to use the Hyatt Hotel bathrooms.

We are putting in on Brooks Lake which leads into Oyster Creek, paddle upstream to US 90 and then go downstream portaging over a dam where there are docks to take out on one side and put in on the other side.

The address of the put-in is the Hyatt Place Sugar Land, 16730 Creek Bend Dr., Sugar Land, Texas 77478. As you drive into the Hyatt, go to your right around to the back. Concrete parking near the water and a short 150 feet to the water's edge to carry the boats. A little mud at the put-in but very easy.  We could eat lunch after taking out.

Bring snacks, plenty of fluids, hat, sunscreen and an extra set of clothes... just in case.

This is an ACA sanctioned event.   All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver.
