Come and experience the Texas Midcoast at it finest. Sorry, no primative camping on this one unless you hit the beach. The facilities at the LCRA Nature Park and Campground are kept meticulously clean. I have camped here about 6 times. I have booked 4 sites, good for 4-5 campers each. We ask that you car-pool from Houston to minimize the parking at the campground (Their rules).

Paddle trips are planned on the Colorado River, East Matagorda Bay and if the conditions allow, West Matagorda Bay. And there is something for everyone. The beach here is perfect for playing in the surf as well as beach combing and driftwood fires under the stars. Fishing is available too. You can drive on the beach here, and must get a permit at the local grocery store to do so.
Fresh groceries and ice at Stanley's Grocery. Group meals are in the planning. Restaurants are available.
