I have been kayaking for 20 years or so. When I moved from Houston to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas, I sold my other kayaks and a lot of my stuff but had dreams of paddling here. At 77-78 my body has just given out joint-by-joint. Only paddled in Georgetown five or six times in the last two years and now need to admit I had a strong and happy run, but it is over. I am clearing out all my remaining stuff. A few items I will try to sell, the rest is just there for the taking. My goal with all this gear is to get it into the possession of someone who will use it.
Kayak – Sterling Kayaks “Grand Illusion”, $1,500 or best offer after 30-days. The Grand Illusion by Sterling Kayaks - Pure Performance Kayaks

High performance Pacific Northwest touring kayak. Lots of room for gear. Faster than you think. Great at surfing beach break and ocean rollers. Very maneuverable. Easy to roll.
The kayak is in excellent condition. Always stored in garage. Hull gelcoat regularly maintained.
Purchased direct from builder 5 years ago for $6,000. Current retail before tax is $8,000.
Reviews—See the videos on the Sterling website linked above and Illusion Reviews - Sterling Kayaks | Buyers' Guide | Paddling.com. The Illusion and Grand Illusion are basically the same kayak with the Grand Illusion upscaled for larger paddlers like the builder Sterling Donaldson, and me.
Selling with two spray skirts, a old Snap Dragon (not longer in business) and a brand new custom make Reed Chillcheater. Both skirts are XXL for the tunnel and larger for the deck.
You can also have the J-racks for wall mounting, but they are only coming off the wall if the kayak is sold.
Can send you Pic if interested.
