This should be a relaxing paddle along the Trinity River above Lake Livingston. We'll basically wander upstream a few miles, then return to the launch. It's about 10 minutes from my house, so afterward everyone is invited to come over for hamburgers on the grill! I will post a separate event for that in case there are those who want to come socialize but are unable to paddle first.
I should mention that if there are heavy rains there can be a lot of debris in the Trinity. I will check the river beforehand, and if it's a problem we can move to Lake Raven at Sam Houston State Park as a backup.
Level 2 Trip Description: Expect to paddle 9-10 miles.

Hazards: Early Summer conditions, potentially quite hot. Some current and occasional floating debris may be present. Trip Leader may adjust the route based on wind and currents if necessary. Expect some light boat traffic on the river.
