Lake Woodlands Circum-navigation

We will paddle around Lake Woodlands, in and out of every nook and cranny.  Total distance is about 8 statute miles.  Clock-wise or counter clock-wise, I don't care.  Pace determined by group - we can try some fartlek training, if you like.

Expect to see birds, a sea dragon, parks, huge houses, and no doubt more.

Easy put-in from docks, tiny beach or boat ramp.  All put-ins are at far end of parking lot.  A rest-room/changing room is immediately on your right as you enter the parking lot

Bring snacks, water, hat, sunscreen and an extra set of clothes... just in case. Lunch  at Northshore Park, if you like.  A thermos of something warm may be welcome.

I would like to launch at 10 AM, so please arrive in time to be ready.  Thanks!

This is an ACA sanctioned event.   All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver.

Guests – You are welcome to join us for a couple of paddle trips.  HASK will cover the $5 ACA event membership for non-ACA members. Hopefully you will then join HASK and continue paddling with us.
