Calling All Nature Enthusiasts!

Keep Texas Beautiful, and the American Bird Conservancy's SPLASh program want YOU to help clean up our waterways and collect data. As part of a larger trash collection and analysis project, volunteers are needed to pick up trash and collect in and around Houston/Galveston waterways.

By land or by water, you can help! Not only will our local waterways get a clean up, all data collected will be used to support a larger trash mapping and modeling project around Galveston Bay.
Organized by:  Black Cat GIS and Biological LLC,

Please join us for a training and trash collection event at one or more of the following dates and locations:

June 1st Surfside Jetty County Park from 9:00a.m.     11:00a.m.

June 1st Dickinson Bayou Boat Ramp from 9:30a.m. – 11:30a.m.

The program partners will provide trash grabbers, bags, and gloves. Volunteers should bring WATER, hats, sunscreen, and bug spray.

To register, please click the form link in [Registration] and fill out the form. https://www.tfaforms.com/4986204

ALL TRAINING AND COLLECTION ON THESE DATES WILL BE LAND BASED BUT INSTRUCTION WILL ADDRESS WATER BASED CLEAN UP METHODS.

If these dates, times or locations don't work for you, not to worry! Will be offering more training sessions in the greater Houston Galveston area in the coming weeks.

Would you like to set up a training session at no charge for your group? Let us know! We'd be happy to make that happen!
