We will paddle from the fishing center to the Gulf beaches and if conditions permit along the foam pile for 1 1/2 miles and then back into the bay and back to our launch.  Total mileage approx 14 miles. Helmets required. Must have radio and a dry suit or dry top (at least it must be in the boat and available). Water temp 71 degrees. Air temp max 81 degrees, partly cloudy. Wind NNW 10-15 mph. Main hazards will be cold water and boat traffic.  Weather and sea conditions may be benign or challenging. Curren weather forecast calls for scattered thunderstorms in morning so will have to gauge that before launching. There will be some open-water paddling. There is a $5 launch fee. There is a bathroom at the put-in. The put-in is a fairly busy boat launch on the ICW, which we will cross and then head into the bays.  I am not a surf expert so we will view the beach conditions and scoot along the foam pile if conditions are moderate and everyone agrees. We will not go into big surf or offshore. Must be able to do a wet exit and solo reentry. Call me if any questions.

COVID safety practices will apply.  Masks at launch, distancing always, minimize handling of shared equipment.
