Trip will go from east side of Keith Lake to Clam Lake Rd Bridge in the McFaddin NWR, via Ten Mile Cut, or the other way, depending on weather conditions, mainly wind direction and strength. I have never done this trip.
A shuttle will be required.
This will be a potentially strenuous trip requiring some paddling stamina and proper touring sea kayaks. Wear or be able to apply a spray skirt / spray deck.
There may be few spots to stretch legs on this trip.

I have booked a nice Air BnB house in Port Arthur for the nights of March 14 and 15 2025. It has room for up to 10 guests. They have a variety of rooms and beds. I will assign people once I have a final head count. This facility allows paddlers to do the approx 2 hour one way drive to the trip and back the day before and the day after the trip.
We will aim to eat communally, though you don't have to join in.
Use of this facility is not a requirement for trippers, of course, and you can use it either or both nights. I just need to know for room and bed assignments. I ask that only paddlers use the house, at least until I see how many actual paddlers want to come.
Total cost is $378. Per person cost will depend on numbers of people.
