This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver. See all rules at the bottom of this page.

Trip Description: A redirect from Lake Ouachita, AK to Toledo Bend Lake, LA


Note: This trip can be done as an extension to the preceding non-HASK car camping trip to Talimena State Park. Contact Willie Younger directly if you are interested in that. The location of Talimena State Park is close enough to drive to this put in on Friday morning.

Hazards: Still warm in the middle of the day. 86 degrees average high. 68 degrees average lows. Long paddles with planned breaks every 90-120 minutes.

Guests – You are welcome to join us for a couple of paddle trips.  HASK will cover the $5 ACA event membership for non-ACA members. Hopefully you will then join HASK and continue paddling with us.
