This is pretty park for camping and activities will include:

You can come down and paddle Saturday without camping or add camping and possible trip Sunday morning.

Registering for this event is registering for paddling Saturday or Saturday/Sunday

1. car camping Friday and/or Saturday nights at Texana Park & Campground, formerly Lake Texana State Park.
2. Saturday day paddle up the Navidad River.
3. Sunday day paddle on Mustang Creek or Lake Texana.

Contact me if you are camping.  Let me know by email which night(s) you are camping. I have reserved 6 campsites (5 are lakefront) in my name, numbered 77 (Bill Ohsie is one occupant), 78, 80, 82, 84 and 85. The campsites are $30 per night per site.  These sites will have electricity and water but not sewer hookups. They can each accommodate three tents or an RV plus 1 tent. If you want full hookups or a site by yourself, register on your own by calling 361-782-5718. Check-in time is 2:00 PM and check-out time is 1:00 PM.  Camping fee is $30 per site per night.  Multiple people at each site will share the fee.  I will collect payments at the park.

Don't use the information on the TPWD website because the park is now run by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority.

Description: This is a  HASK trip on the Navidad River going upriver from Lake Texana.  We will launch at 10:00 AM.  The boat ramp is immediately off of Highway 59 right after the bridge that goes over Lake Texana as you are going south on HIghway 59.  We'll do 8-10 miles round-trip on the Navidad River, hoping to find a place to get out.

There are no facilities anywhere except for bushes off the parking area, but there is a RV/truck stop just before Ganado at the first exit for the town. It has a good small town restaurant. It's the TA Truck Stop.

Directions: Highway 59 just past Ganado. The boat launch is on the south- west side of the bridge immediately after it goes over Lake Texana off a short gravel feeder road.   There is a boat ramp sign indicating the exit.

Lat - lon of the exit to the boat ramp off Highway 59 is    29° 1'1.55"N,    96°34'14.67"W

My cellphone number is 281-513-2398
